It follows a deductive form, because the main or general idea is stated at the first part of the essay and then back up details is found in the subsequent paragraphs.

The mode and tone of the essay is serious.
IV. Type
It is a formal essay, the style is impersonal and it follows a logical organization of ideas.
V. Reaction
“What is an Educated Filipino?” is a timely essay that comprehensively tackles the new and modified definition of an educated Filipino. It does not merely discuss what an educated Filipino is, rather, it entices its Filipino readers to change their view and act upon it. The essay also stresses on the idea of knowing one’s own race and culture and possesses good moral values aside from his/her knowledge gathered in the school.
